Steering Committee

The steering committee manages and represents the association. It is in charge of achieving the goals of the association, fixing the agenda of the technical committees, convoking the general assembles, looking after the application of the statutes, managing the goods of the association and engage the required personnel.

This steering committee is currently composed of 5 persons:

Bastien Roquier. Ph.D. (President of the Steering Committee), project manager at HydroCosmos SA and actively involved in hydrological and hydraulic projects. He finished a PhD in the field of Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (Switzerland) in 2012.

Javier García Hernández. Ph.D., coordinator of the Flood Management Department (Pôle GestCrues) at CREALP. He obtained his MSc in civil engineering at the Technical University of Valence (Spain) in 2006 and his Ph.D. in civil engineering (flood forecasting and management field) in 2011 at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (Switzerland).

Javier Paredes Arquiola. Ph.D., assistant professor of hydraulic engineering and water quality modelling at the Technical University of Valencia (Spain). He graduated with a degree in civil engineering (1998), obtained his MSc in civil engineering at the California State University (USA, 2003), and obtained a Ph.D. in civil engineering (2004) at the Technical University of Valencia (Spain).

Jean-Louis Boillat. Ph.D., consulting engineer in the hydrologic and hydraulic fields, strongly collaborating with the Laboratory of Hydraulic Constructions at Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (Switzerland). He finished his PhD at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (Switzerland) in 1980.

Alain Foehn. MSc., collaborator of the Flood management Department (Pôle GestCrues) at CREALP. He obtained his MSc. in environment sciences (2012) at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (Switzerland) and realized his master project in the hydrologic modeling field.
